About the Role
Our Mining Area C’s Infrastructure Services team is seeking a Lifting Services Supervisor to manage planned and break-in lifting support work across our fixed plant, mining and mobile assets. The scope of the activities extend across the entire Mining Area C and South Flank footprints. Based at our ‘Area C’ mine site you’ll be working on a two weeks on / 1 week-off fly-in fly-out roster, or you can choose from an array of suitably aligned rosters, which we’ll happily discuss with you.
Our Area C mine is located approximately 120kms North West of Newman, West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning. In this role you’ll: • Oversee, direct and coordinate allocated personnel to ensure all tasks are performed in a safe and efficient manner • Ensure timely evaluation and scoping of work requests prior to approval for the work management planning process • Participate in the weekly pre-planning, planning and scheduling meetings and required shutdown meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule • Ensure safe execution of maintenance work as per the signed off schedule • Manage the planning and execution of unplanned work and the re-scheduling of the existing work orders as required, using site based prioritisation tools • Maintain a knowledge and understanding of the costs of maintenance • Ensure data integrity by using the various established system and reporting inaccurate data
About You
As our successful candidate you’ll possess the following skills and experience: • A genuine commitment to safety • Strong crane operating, maintenance and lift planning industry experience, having worked in a large scale minerals processing environment • Detailed knowledge of operating and maintaining mining equipment • Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and mentoring employees to deliver on plan and building a competent, engaged and disciplined team • Effective stakeholder / customer engagement skills and the ability to build relationships across work groups • Advanced rigging - RA high risk work licence • CO slewing mobile crane (>100t ), preferred but not essential • Scaffolding knowledge • Knowledge of the Western Australian Heavy Vehicle Accreditation rules and regulations • A minimum C class manual driver’s licence is essential.
