About The Role
The Maintenance Department delivers maintenance across Werris Creek Mining, CHPP and Infrastructure facilities via Planning, Electrical, Reliability & Maintenance Engineering and Maintenance Execution teams.
 

What You’ll Do

  • Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance in this broad ranging, varied role you will efficiently manage and provide leadership to the work groups of Maintenance Execution teams to ensure performance targets for plant are achieved in a coordinated, cost effective, timely and safe manner, by:
  • Coordinating studies and projects during major shutdowns.
  • Ensuring activities prioritise safety, incidents and accidents are reported and manage risk; effective hazard identification, proactive work to reduce need for potential high-risk tasks.
  • Focus on quality assurance to minimise exposure to hazardous tasks.
  • Manage execution and compliance of statutory requirements to deliver site safety and legal compliance.
  • Manage area costs and support planning team with cost control and reporting process through daily or weekly commentary of major events.
  • Run “on time” Major Outages & Shut Downs and minimise Mean Time to Failure through Quality Assurance.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing your team driving a positive culture
  • Monitor collection of data, focusing on production loss (downtime data), machine performance for improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate.
  • Sound Maintenance, Planning and CMMS knowledge, with experience in mining or heavy industry or processing plant.
  • Strong communication, presentation and reporting skills, able to influence others.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a continuous improvement culture.
  • A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Current Unencumbered New South Wales “C” Class Drivers License
