Our Opportunity

 

Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people. 

 

Roster: 14D 14R (2/2) FIFO ex Perth 

 

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused West Canning Basin Supervisor to lead daily operational and maintenance activities within a remote site environment. This role is responsible for driving team performance, maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards, and ensuring the successful execution of maintenance and operational targets. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership capability, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement and safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily West Canning Basin operations to achieve performance and production targets
  • Align team activities with business objectives while fostering a strong safety culture
  • Conduct field leadership interactions, incident investigations, and complete reporting within BMS
  • Develop, review, and implement Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) to support safe and efficient operations
  • Ensure compliance with work management procedures, training requirements, and competency matrices
  • Promote and adhere to safe systems of work while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

  • Electrical trade qualification and/or engineering qualification
  • Statutory Supervisor Schedule 26 certification
  • Experience in fixed plant and/or dewatering operations within maintenance and operational teams
  • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Experience working in remote FIFO environments; civil works and GRP pipe experience highly regarded
