About the Role
We are currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our BHP Port Hedland Community Infrastructure team, reporting to the Community Infrastructure Superintendent. To be successful in this role you will be an effective and collaborative communicator with the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously. Collaborative interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to influence while also enabling you to build relationships across departments.
This position is being offered as a FIFO role, working on an 8/6 day shift only roster and will manage call outs as per the Community Infrastructure process. Responsibilities include: • Supervision of Community Infrastructure Maintenance team • An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities • Supervision of Community Infrastructure Maintenance team • An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities • Internal and external customer relations • Supporting the health and wellbeing and sustainable development of team members • Drive an inclusive and diverse culture • Build relationships across functions to achieve positive working environment for task execution • Managing the day-to-day completion of scheduled and Breakdown work • Maintain 1SAP supervisor processes, Planning, scheduling and meetings • Ensure HSEC standards, hazard identification and management is applied by departmental personnel; • Manage and coach work groups on quality, task-based risk assessments • Commitment to the field leadership program and coach field leadership activities • Commitment to continuous improvement culture including identification and championing of various initiative • Continue to identify opportunities to improve the performance of people, processes and systems.
About You
As the successful applicant you will possesses the following skills and experience: • Holding an Electrical Trade Qualification would be advantageous • Experience supervising of trades within similar operation is desirable • Foster positive and productive working relationships and team culture • Set and maintain clear safety standards and expectations with your team • Committed to safety leadership • Experience leading safety investigations, risk assessments and providing quality reviews • Build capability through coaching, mentoring and provide technical advice and support to your teams • Lead and support continuous improvement opportunities • Current unrestricted West Australian ‘C’ class licence • Experienced in 1SAP work management • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement and risk management skills • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a drive to develop and learn • Ability to problem solve and react to unplanned situations • Sound time management skills and proven business acumen skills
