About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Auxiliary Maintenance, this position is responsible for managing our Dewatering team at our Mining Area C mine site. Working a 2:1 FIFO roster (dayshift only) you will be a key contributor in supporting our team to maintain equipment and meet the rapidly growing dewatering demands of our operation with the scope of the activities extending across the entire Mining Area C and South Flank. As our successful candidate you will:
- Focus on creating a culture of care and be a visible safety leader through engaging, developing and coaching your Dewatering team;
- Oversee, direct and coordinate allocated personnel to ensure all tasks are performed in a safe and efficient manner;
- Lead a maintenance execution team and promote operating discipline related to the 1SAP work management processes
- Participate in the weekly pre-planning, planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule
- Coordinate project work and liaise with Project teams across a large geographical scope
- Be able to work together with Mine Planning and Hydrogeologists to coordinate bore and maintenance activities
- Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to 1SAP processes and work instructions, and the entering of the relevant transactional data in 1SAP
- Be required to oversee our Electrical Logbook in line with DMIRs as well as our BHP standards and procedures
About You
To be successful in this role it is likely that you will have the following:
- WA Electrical Trade Licence or an Electrical Engineer qualification as essential
- Electrical Nominee is highly desirable
- Approximately 3 years of Supervisory experience or Step Up Supervisory experience
- Ability to balance multiple incoming priorities and effectively deliver on customer expectations
- Quality focused with a drive to achieve results for the team
- Valid Australian unrestricted driver’s license is essential
- Confident in meeting daily routines and delivering results around your key performance indicators
- Collaborative communication, negotiation, influencing and relationship management skills
- Experience with structured work management processes preferred
- Experience with Dewatering is highly desired
