About the Role
As a Supervisor within the Mobile Maintenance team at Newman Operations you will have the opportunity to support and guide a talented team managing the safe and cost effective maintenance on our large fleet of Mining mobile equipment, in order to ensure availability, performance and integrity. Reporting to the Superintendent Mobile Maintenance and being offered as a FIFO role based in Newman WA working a 8/6/7/7 (8 days on / 6 days off / 7 night on / 7 night off) roster, your duties will include: • Demonstrating and instilling an overriding commitment to health, safety & environment • Setting and clearly communicating targets and expectations • Overseeing, coaching and mentoring employees to deliver on plan and build a high performing team • Managing the planning, scheduling and execution of all Mining Mobile Equipment Maintenance work • Ensuring reporting systems are kept up to date • Ensuring the tooling and equipment required for maintenance work are in good working condition • Reviewing and monitoring maintenance performance on a daily and weekly basis • Ensuring all work is completed and properly recorded in 1SAP • Developing, communicating and executing the Mining mobile Equipment Maintenance work plan • Assisting with the monitoring of our Contracting Partners work activities.
About You
Ideally as our successful candidate you will have the following skills and experience: • Proven experience in a supervisory role maintaining Heavy Earthmoving Equipment • Trade qualification within an equivalent industry would be advantageous however this is not mandatory • Current full "C" class motor vehicle license is essential • Diploma in Frontline Management and qualification in Six Sigma would be advantageous • Working knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations • Solid technical experience within maintenance within a heavy industry work environment • Systems knowledge of maintenance processes (e.g. Work management, reliability, information management, cost control and budgeting processes) • Experience leading and mentoring teams and an ability to provide leadership and development of team members • Experience with autonomous haulage concepts, would be beneficial • Previous experience improving performance and availability through quality maintenance practices.
