We are looking for Supervisors- Major Works to help lead our HME Maintenance team to ensure safety, people, and production targets are met.

This role is a great opportunity for somebody who has previous leadership experience with the heavy mining industry or wants to take the next step and progress into a leadership role, and who has a strong focus on safety and driving cultural change.
Reporting to the Lead- Major works and working a 4,5,5 day/night lifestyle roster at Weipa Southern Operations, you will be: Supporting the Maintenance team with their day-to-day operations.
- Providing visible leadership and driving the safety culture.
- Participating in the measuring, analyzing and recommendation of process improvements.
- Delivering maintenance activities within the Weipa Southern Operation, and its heavy equipment fleet of approximately 50 Caterpillar assets; including 776 and 777 Long trucks, 785 rear tippers, 993 loaders, D11 dozers and ancillary equipment.
- Leading by example, communicating effectively, and ensuring values of the business are adhered to.

- Intermediate computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office suite applications including MS project, as well as SAP
- Ability to work with and lead a diverse workforce and environment.
What we offer
This position is a residential role in Weipa. The successful applicant will be supported with relocation if coming from outside of Weipa and will be eligible for company housing. This position is based at Amrun so you will be provided camp accommodation whilst on shift.. The shift pattern is 5 days, 4 off, 5 nights, 5 off, 4 days, 5 off continued.

Where you will be working
Our Weipa operations in Far North Queensland includes three bauxite mines, processing facilities, shiploaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals. Amrun, our newest mine, was completed in 2018 and will extend our Weipa bauxite operations by decades, significantly building on our 55-year history on the Western Cape, and providing jobs and supporting business growth in the region. The mine is located on traditional land. We work closely with the Traditional Owners to implement our agreements, ensuring that the benefits generated from mining support future generations and that important cultural heritage sites are identified and preserved.
