About the role
Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.
We are looking for a Supervisor Mechanical to supervise the day-to-day maintenance activities of the team of plumbers and mechanical trades. This involves supervising work, allocating team members/resources to complete the required tasks, confirming maintainers have completed the maintenance orders and raised notifications for subsequent works when required.
Leading from the frontline, your main responsibility will include checking and ensuring safety of the team and equipment, while monitoring personnel performance and administrative duties.
You’ll be part of a friendly, high performing team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. Reporting to the Utilities Superintendent, you’ll work a 8 days on, 6 days off roster, which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
We're looking for someone with strong leadership and well-developed communication skills who is passionate about providing authentic and positive people leadership and a natural role model at cultivating a curious mind. You will have a strong understanding of safe operations and safe behavior fundamentals, work well under pressure while maintaining the ability to meet multiple deadlines along with demonstrated understanding of quality system processes.
In addition, to succeed in this role, you will have:
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset
- Experience in leading a team, preferably an understanding of asset management work practices
- Experience with Hydrocarbons handling installations including valves, pumps and thermal relief systems
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Relevant Mechanical Trade
- Unrestricted “C” Class driver's license

Where you’ll be working
Our port facilities consist of four shippingterminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which forman essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities fortrain unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
The Utilities Division maintains assets toprovide water, hydrocarbons and waste water services to the Rio Tinto Iron Ore(RTIO) Pilbara Operations in the town of Dampier and sites at Parker Point, EIIand Rail Facilities.
