Supervisor Mechanical (OPF Fixed Plant)
Work Location: Eliwana
- Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off ex Perth
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent at Eliwana OPF, this role will be responsible for all aspects of Maintenance functions for the operational Process Plant. You will be accountable for the planning, organising, supervision and control of personnel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance to skills training matrix for self and direct reports
- Conducting field interactions and completing incident investigation in BMS
- Identify, develop, and publish SWI's
- Adherence to the business plan
- Deliver effective shutdowns completed and on time
- Supervision of personnel
- Ensure the OPF achieves or exceed budget availability and safety performance
- Ensure all team activities are aligned with the overall business objectives
- Demonstrate strong safety values
Education and Experience:
- Considerable experience in a similar role gained in maintaining fixed plant in a workshop and field situation
- Good attitude and strong values to create consistent culture
- Strong supervisory experience and leadership skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Proven commitment to safety
- Previous shutdown and maintenance experience and process plant in mining
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft office and computerized maintenance management systems
- Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large scare processing plant
- Mechanical Trade background and/or Engineering qualification
- Frontline Management qualification
- HR driving license
