About the role

We are looking for Supervisor Mobile Equipment Maintenance to join our Greater Tom Price operations team. This role presents an opportunity to lead, mentor and coach your team to safely execute maintenance activities at a site level ensuring team performance is in line with short term objectives.

Reporting to the Superintendent Mobile Equipment Maintenance  you will be working in an inclusive and supportive team, within maintenance operations, you will ;

  • Appointment as Statutory Supervisor under WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 with the functions as per Schedule 26
  • Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations
  • Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Maintenance personnel
  • Organise and manage the execution of Maintenance work performed
  • Manage scheduled and breakdown maintenance with the shift crew to complete required maintenance activities
  • Allocate and coordinate planned maintenance activities using the Rio Tinto workflow management principles

About you

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • In depth knowledge of large-scale earthmoving equipment maintenance
  • Experience working with Komatsu, Hitachi and Caterpillar equipment (desirable)
  • Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members
  • Experience in maintenance or operations within a mobile equipment environment (desirable)
  • An understanding of the work management process and principles
  • A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (Manual)
  • Statutory Position Legal Exam – Statutory Supervisor

Where you will be working

The Marandoo mine is located at the foot of Mount Bruce adjacent to the Karijini National Park, 50 km east of the town of Tom Price. Marandoo is known for its picturesque hills and mountain ranges. Our operation currently employs a fly-in fly-out workforce.
