About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Services, this position is responsible for managing a team of ancillary operators to establish and maintain a safe and productive mine environment. This position is a Residential Position with Relocation and Housing packages on offer.
The Mine Services portfolio of works is varied and dynamic, covering a wide range of tasks and environments. The work is crucial to the success of the operation and as a result, the team must always be performing at a high level.
As a Supervisor, you will have strong leadership skills and the ability to positively influence our team culture. Your ability to lead by example, be proactive and prioritise outcomes will be critical to your success.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing supervision and support for the Mine Services crew
- Upholding and driving the highest of safety standards, including through risk management and operational leadership
- Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations
- Executing routine and project work effectively, aligning with daily and weekly plans, plus business direction
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, whilst instilling and actioning a highly focussed customer service mentality
About You
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- A Team player who can influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined environment
- A positively can do attitude with a strong passion for safety and operational efficiency
- Minimum basic computer literacy
- Supervisory experience in an operational mining team highly regarded
- Mine scheduling and design experience highly regarded
- Experience operating ancillary equipment, including bulldozers and loaders, highly regarded
- Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong communications skills
- Minimum C Class Driver’s license unrestricted
Location
Our Newman Operations are located approximately 5 to 10kms of Newman, Western Australia which makes it a short trip to / from work! Residential housing options are all located in the centre of the Newman Township and we actively encourage our team members to join the local community and utilise local shopping centres, restaurants and sporting facilities such as the swimming pool and Gym’s.
