About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and people-focused leader to join our inclusive and high-performing Mine Services team within the Mining Production department. As Supervisor Mine Services Pumps, you will lead a diverse team responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and performance of site water management and dewatering systems.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership to ensure mine dewatering infrastructure supports production requirements, maintains regulatory compliance and delivers reliable water management outcomes across the operation. Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Technical Services and Contractor partners, you will play a key role in driving collaboration, building team capability, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team responsible for delivering safe and effective mine dewatering and water management activities.
- Foster an inclusive and positive team culture where people feel valued, supported and empowered to perform at their best.
- Coordinate the installation, relocation, operation and maintenance of dewatering pumps, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
- Monitor pump system performance and reliability to support operational requirements and minimise production impacts.
- Partner with operational and technical stakeholders to ensure water management strategies support current and future mine plans.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and equipment performance.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and development opportunities to build capability within the team.
- Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Roster is: 7/7 day shift only.
About You
- Experience leading teams in mining, water management, civil construction, maintenance, utilities, or other operational environments.
- A genuine passion for supporting and developing people while creating a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
- Experience in mine services, water management, pit dewatering, pump operations, or related infrastructure is highly regarded.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic operational environment.
- Experience monitoring equipment performance, identifying improvement opportunities and driving positive operational outcomes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple teams.
- Experience coordinating contractors and managing competing operational priorities will be highly regarded.
- Trade, operational, maintenance or technical experience in pumping systems, water management or related disciplines is advantageous.
- Experience in open cut mining environments is desirable but not essential.
