Supervisor Mining

Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

Roster:  Commencing on a 7D7N7R then will transition to 7D7N14R

The Supervisor Mining is responsible for all aspects of Load & Haul functions within operational Mining. You will lead a group of committed team members who share a vision of being the safest and most efficient Mining Team. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate strong safety values
  • Lead mining operations and team members to ensure safe and productive operations
  • Coach and develop team members and take accountability for the skills training matrix
  • Conduct pit inspections
  • Conduct field interactions and complete incident investigations
  • Ensure that Mining achieves or exceeds budget fleet utilisation and safety performance

Education and Experience:

  • Proven experience in similar role with strong leadership skills and ability to engage and empower large teams 
  • Experience in Autonomous Mining Systems highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven commitment to safety
  • Strong understanding of efficiency drivers in a large-scale mining operation
  • Experienced in Frontline management
