About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, Newman Community Infrastructure, the purpose of this role is to contract manage trade service vendors carrying out minor project activities within the Newman Township, ensuring the safe delivery of properties to our Housing Operations Team in readiness to accommodate our residential employees.
As Supervisor Offline Maintenance your duties include (but are not limited to); Scoping required work, handback of completed properties from contractors, assist in coordination of works, in field contractor management and coaching of an in-house lead team. In addition, there is also a requirement to complete routine admin duties with responsibility for weekly reporting, time confirmations, close outs, storing data in local files and 1SAP and updating schedules/project status.
In this role you will demonstrate a personal commitment to continuous improvement activities/initiatives by leveraging BHP Operating System practices to improve the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of work, ensuring the optimal utilisation of all resources through effective management of labour use and materials.

- A current Western Australian Driver’s License
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of achieving results through using your influence
- The ability to successfully lead and work within a team environment and build effective working relationships across the department
- With a focus on quality of work, your technical strengths will be complemented by a well-developed customer service mindset
- Contributes to identifying, scoping, and delivering ongoing improvement opportunities
Qualifications/Experience
- Building Trade Qualification (desirable)
- Mix of experience in both domestic work and mining operations
- Experience monitoring and controlling budgets
- Experience with 1SAP and Fiori or the ability to learn and operate work management software tools
- Demonstrated computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
- Experience with effective contractor management
- Experience leading small teams
