About the role: We are currently seeking an experienced Site Services and Pump Supervisor to join our CMJV Team. Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets. Reporting to the Production Superintendent Draglines, Drill & Blast, Site Services and Pumps, the scope of your role will be to lead the pump and site services team across the CMJV. This is a busy role, requiring a structured approach and the ability to train and develop your team empowering them to make sound decisions. Duties will include:
- Set and demonstrate high Safety, Health and Environmental standards and ensure all practices are in accordance with statutory requirements and company policies and procedures
- Provide strong leadership to drive a high-performance culture based on our Peabody Values and demonstrate appropriate behaviour that underpins the success of the site
- Coordinate the Site services and Pumping activities to ensure that production targets are met in a safe and cost-effective manner
- Develop effective relationships to ensure a high standard of communication and planning in your area of responsibility
- Collaborate with the Maintenance, Technical Services departments and Contracting organisations to achieve the targets for the operation
- Accountable for reporting daily activities, pumping strategies and monitoring costs to ensure budgets are achieved
- Encourage reporting of all damage to plant and equipment, identification of root cause
- Maintain Productive and Collaborative relationships with other disciplines
- Effectively forecast resource requirements to ensure targets are achieved
- Set and maintain clear accountabilities for team and direct reports, ensuring completion of the bi-annual performance review process
- Actively embrace Continuous Improvement strategies to procedures and processes that achieve advancements in Safety, Performance, Productivity and job satisfaction

About you:
- Preferred Certification as a Mining Supervisor and / or OCE but not essential
- >5 Years experience in a Production / Site Services / Pump Supervisor position preferably in an open cut coal mining environment, with Extensive pump infostructure, planning and site services experience
- Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to team leadership and foster the development of a positive safety culture
- Strong business improvement and forecasting/budgeting skills
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
