About the Role

Lifestyle Roster - Days/Nights Even Time
The Fixed Plant Supervisor is responsible for facilitating safe production at all BMA Coal processing and port assets, remotely from the IROC. This is achieved through:

Ensuring all assets have appropriate coverage for control seats;
-
Building and maintaining proactive working relationships with site stakeholders;
-
Leveraging opportunities to replicate best practice across individual assets;
-
Quality deviation management across the supply chain;
-
Providing first point of escalation for safety hazards, risks and production downfalls, and methodically working through issues using BOS problem solving tools.
They will provide leadership to Fixed Plant controllers, and drive performance of the frontline team through:

Engaging and collaborating with team on shiftly basis, through pre-starts and in pods;
-
Managing individual training plans for controllers to keep skills pipeline healthy;
-
Conducting performance management, developing improvement plans, and providing support to build an inclusive and diverse workplace.
About You
As the succesful candidate, you will exercise sound judgement, with a vision for your role and team. You are action oriented who enjoys collaboration and displays strong communication skills. You will be able to provide feedback & recognition, and establish an accountability and credibility in the role.
Qualifications:

Successful completion of Secondary Education to Year 12 is required unless appropriate work experience and performance can be demonstrated;

S123, G2, Legislation Training, Step up to leadership program.
Skills:
-
Leadership skills;
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
-
Ability to Coach and give constructive feedback;
-
Time management and effective task prioritisation under pressure.
Experience:
-
Processing and/or Port operation experience, including control room operations;
-
Supervision and people management, including performance management.
