About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Supervisor Production, to lead a large team of operators to achieve safety, production and quality targets which will drive maximum profitability for the entire operation.
You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on an 8/6/7/7 FIFO roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Superintendent Production, you will be:
Confirming that all Rio Tinto Health and Safety standards and policies are followed
Ensuring employee engagement through the application of consistent and fair leadership skills
Demonstrating and upholding inclusive behaviours in line with Rio Tinto values
Coordinating all mine production activities through efficient use of mobile production equipment
Monitoring performance of the shift production targets and taking appropriate action to maintain the production requirements
Ensuring that operators receive ongoing training in line with the Rio Tinto standards
What you’ll Bring
Significant experience working in a large scale, open pit mining environment
Successful track record in managing large teams in a production mining operation
Unrestricted manual 'C' Class Driver's licence
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Restricted or Unrestricted Quarry Manager's Ticket
Certificate IV or higher in Frontline Management
Diploma in Metalliferous Mining
Exposure to mine planning systems

Located 95km north-west of Newman, Yandicoogina offers a range of fly in fly out rosters. As one of Australia's largest-producing iron ore mines; operating a fleet of autonomous trucks and drills, it generates more than 55 million tonnes of Hammersley Iron Yandi (HIY) fines each year.
