About the role

We are seeking a motivated and engaging Supervisor Maintenance Fixed Plant to join our team at West Angelas to lead our site-based to lead a team of maintainers providing maintenance to fixed plant assets. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership skills, coupled with your technical knowledge to effectively coordinate execution of work.

You’ll be part of a high performing team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work a family and lifestyle friendly 8 days off, 6 days off roster, with some flexibility around shut periods which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. 

Reporting to the Superintendent Plant Maintenance and working in a challenging and exciting environment within the Plant department, you will be:

  • Managing scheduled daily maintenance and shutdown maintenance with a high performing team of tradespersons.
  • Supporting, coaching and mentoring a team to ensure optimal delivery against performance and safety targets
  • Building and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders to align on operational plans and strategies
  • Driving effective cost management initiatives by identifying & implementing cost-saving opportunities
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the team in the implement initiatives
  • Championing continuous improvement by identifying and implementing changes to optimise work practices and provide technical solutions to improve plant performance

  • A passionate people leader who will influence, motivate and be confident in effectively leading, mentoring and coaching team members as well as interfacing with senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability in meeting targets and bringing the team on a journey of continuous development
  • Statutory Position Legal Exam – Statutory Supervisor
  • A desire to build and lead engaged teams
  • Hold a current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License

Where you’ll be working

Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth, Broome and Busselton.

West Angelas is a pioneer in autonomous technologies – we were the first site to trial autonomous haul trucks and incorporate autonomous drilling into our operations in 2008, and we continue to have one of the largest mining fleets in the Pilbara. Our high grade, low phosphorous Marra Mamba orebody is an integral part of the Pilbara Blend, contributing both lump and fines products on around four trains each day. At the West Angelas hub there are state-of-the-art power generation and refuelling facilities. These facilities supply power and diesel fuel to the East Pilbara mine sites.

The future is bright at West Angelas with ongoing growth projects at Deposits C and D, as well as additional deposits under study providing enormous opportunities for personal development and career growth.
