About the role
We are seeking engaging, safety and productivity focused Supervisors Plant Operations to join our onsite Fixed Plant operations team supporting safe operation of the Hope Downs 4 BOO (Build, Own, Operate) Plant. Reporting to the Superintendent Plant Operations, this role has strong safety leadership exposure and is a great opportunity to showcase your influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
You will be responsible for building best operator partnerships with the HD4 BOO Plant operating and maintenance teams to enhance safety and productivity in alignment with Rio Tinto standards, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership skills, harnessed with your operational experience, to positively lead the implementation and delivery of Fixed Plant priorities for Hope Downs 4.
About you
- Proven safety leadership skills and the ability to positively engage with a wide range of internal and external of stakeholders
- Actively coach and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness, risk management, and safety in all activities
- Demonstrated ability to uphold Everyday Respect values
- Have experience in overseeing Contractor Management and the Iron Ore Contractor Management System (CMS)
- Adaptable and passionate people leader with a proven track record of success with effectively leading, mentoring, and coaching team members, and contract partners
- Proactively co-ordinate and manage contractor site mobilisation, performance, impacts on other site activities, incident investigation, and action close out
- Ability to work with diverse teams and manage multiple programs of change and continuous improvement activities
- Be proficient in the use of SAP
- At least 2 years previous experience in the supervision of operations or maintenance teams
- Qualified as a RTIO Company Representative
- Hold a valid Australian C class driver’s license
