This role is a great opportunity for a shutdown coordinator/supervisor or a capable future leader with fixed plant maintenance experience and looking to take the next step in their career. With the opportunity to either fly in and out of Perth on an 8 days on, 6 off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster this role offers great work life balance. Roster flexibility may be required during shutdown execution periods. Reporting to the Fixed Plant Shutdown Superintendent, you will be:

  • Working closely with shutdown planners in identifying, planning and scheduling scopes of work and assisting in the organisation of tooling and parts
  • Regularly engaging with the contractor workforce ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly understood and setting performance targets to encourage the necessary/desired behaviours
  • Raising and managing shutdown work orders in SAP
  • Ensuring shutdown activities are completed safely and meeting the shutdown schedule, respecting the critical path and deadlines
  • Identifying and driving cost savings and safety improvement initiatives
  • Reporting on shutdown completion/outcomes to the business

What you’ll bring:

  • Prior exposure in a fixed plant shutdown environment
  • Trade qualification is beneficial
  • A passion and confidence in leading, coaching and developing team members
  • Ability to execute work in alignment with Rio Tinto values (Care, Courage and Curiosity) and behaviours
  • Ability to achieve outcomes through influence and collaboration with others
  • A current and valid ‘C Class’ manual driver's licence
