We are looking for a Production Supervisor – Processing to lead a team of fixed plant operators to achieve production and quality targets with a focus on safety which in turn will drive maximum profitability for the entire operation.

This role is a great opportunity for a well engaged leader who can mentor, support and develop the team. A person who is committed to driving positive outcomes for the business. Working 2 days, 2 nights on, 4 off roster and reporting to the Superintendent Production - Processing, you will be responsible for the:
Confirming that all Rio Tinto Health and Safety standards and policies are followed
Ensuring employee engagement through the application of consistent and fair leadership skills
Demonstrating and upholding inclusive behaviours in line with Rio Tinto values
Coordinating all production activities through efficient use of fixed plant assets
Monitoring performance of the shift production targets and taking appropriate action to maintain the production requirements
What you’ll bring
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Unrestricted 'C' Class Driver's licence
Frontline Leadership Experience
Experience in large scale fixed plant operation
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Certificate IV or higher in Frontline Management
Exposure to plant and conveyor systems

Where you’ll be workingOur Gove site in Australia’s Northern Territory has been supplying the global aluminium industry with world-class bauxite for more than 40 years.
Gove bauxite is shipped internationally as well as domestically to supply Queensland Alumina Limited and Yarwun refineries in Gladstone, Queensland. These refineries produce alumina as feedstock for our Australian aluminium smelting operations and for sale on the international market.
We expect our bauxite mining operations in the Gove Peninsula will cease later this decade and we are doing significant work to support closure of the operation.
