Our Opportunity

Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples

 

Roster: 8D6R ex Perth 

 

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the Day Crew Supervisor is responsible for leading the clean-up team within the Ore Processing Facility. Leading the team to complete efficient execution of operational priorities, maintaining machines, conducting machinery clean-ups, civil and earth moving tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support & Asset Care

  • Execute planned and reactive tasks to support Operations across the plant
  • Ensure machine pre-starts are completed and followed up where required
  • Own machinery clean-ups, civil tasks, and site presentation standards across the facility
  • Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and work areas are cleaned, maintained, and left in a safe condition
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and asset care
  • Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to ensure efficient task execution

 

People Leadership & Accountability

  • Lead, coach and develop Day Crew personnel to build capability and performance
  • Support training, progression, onboarding and crew development

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in a mining or earth moving operational environment (fixed plant desirable)
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of mining operations and safety systems
  • Experience with systems such as SAP, BMS and SuccessFactors (desirable)
  • Strong communication, organisational skills and understanding of maintenance plans
