Due to the continuous growth and strengthening of our position Australia wide and the recent additional works being awarded at Byerwen, Macmahon has opportunities for an experienced Production Supervisor on a 7:7 roster.
Byerwen Mine is located approximately 20kms west of the town of Glenden in the northern Bowen Basin and is Macmahon’s largest project on the east coast. Full camp facilities are available – accommodation and meals provided.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Monitor productivity of all production dig units and production dump trucks
• Manage fleets by short interval control measures
• Ensure optimum equipment productivity is achieved
• Manage reporting and administrative activities for the shift
• Each roster undertake informal individual feedback reviews with at least 25% of crew - set expectations and provide timely, clear and actionable feedback and recognise achievements
• Review pre-start inspections and ensure corrective actions required are addressed
• Daily pit/workplace inspections as per legislative requirements
• Assist in the optimisations of the mine plan by providing advice to reduce non-productive time due to unscheduled service, relocation, fleet selection and non-optimal haul profiles
• Adjust work plans where necessary and effectively communicate the changes to crew and others impacted by the change
