With over 55 years of experience, Macmahon is a mining contractor with a unique capability of offering its clients surface, underground and mining support services.
Due to internal talent movement, we have an opportunity for an experienced production supervisor to join the Macmahon team at our King of the Hills operation. Macmahon’s 5yr combined surface and underground contract for Red 5 in the Eastern Goldfields boasts state of the art technology, brand new camp facilities and predominantly new mobile plant. The King of the Hills mine has a projected mine life of over 16 years. Macmahon’s surface scope of works includes load and haul, drill and blast, crusher feed and rehandling underground material to the ROM.
This role would suit an experienced Production Supervisor interested in working in a live data capture environment with exposure to state of the art technology. This is a great opportunity to impart your knowledge to a receptive crew plus coach and mentor our future leaders / Leading Hands.
This role is currently being offered on a 2 weeks on, 1 week off basis.
Responsibilities
- Monitor productivity of all production dig units and production dump trucks
- Ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard the first time to eliminate rework
- Ensure optimum equipment productivity is achieved subject to prevailing site conditions without compromising safety
- Manage reporting and administrative activities for the shift
- Ensure activities are undertaken as per mine plan
- Each roster undertakes informal individual feedback reviews with at least 25% of crew – set expectations and provide timely, clear and actionable feedback and recognise achievements
- Review pre-start inspections and ensure corrective actions required are addressed
- Responsible for the process of new starters
- Daily workplace inspections as per legislative requirements
- Assist in the optimisations of the mine plan by providing advice to reduce non-productive time due to unscheduled service, relocation, fleet selection and non-optimal haul profiles
