About the role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join the Rail Operations Inland team.

Acting as the primary point of contact for our stakeholders, the Production Supervisor is a vital part of the team who ensures the safe and efficient execution of the day-to-day Rail Operations Inland responsibilities.

The role also offers a great opportunity to drive improvements in safety and productivity by collaborating with stakeholders to find better ways of working.

Working FIFO (ex Perth) on a 7 days, 7 nights, 14 off roster reporting to the Superintendent Operations Support, you will:

  • Ensure day to day work processes and tasks are allocated and scheduled prioritising safe execution.
  • Act as a real-time escalation and reporting interface between rail operations with mines, train control and asset health.
  • Inform operations crew members of task assignment.
  • Supporting mainline supervisors of any ad hoc issues.
  • Initiate fault rectification required from other departments (e.g., signals, train load-outs).
  • Foster continuous improvement to identify improvements to current practices and processes to improve, safety, productivity.
  • Report daily on shift performance (e.g. delays, faults, responses).
  • Utilising different reporting tools for daily meetings.

About you

  • Your exceptional relationship building skills coupled with your ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • An unwavering commitment to safety.
  • Strong ability to analyse relevant data metrics and determine improvement actions.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritising and delegating tasks.
  • Be able to work autonomously at times and have a can- do attitude.

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Prior Rail experience (highly regarded but not essential)

Where you will be working

Tom Price is located in the central Pilbara, west of Karijini National Park and is our original Pilbara mine, currently employing residential and fly in fly out employees. It is known as one of the most attractive towns in the Pilbara with a high school, two primary schools a hospital and a high standard of recreational facilities.
