About the role
We are looking for a Supervisor Production to coordinate fixed and mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner in order to achieve operational targets at the Rio Tinto Port Hedland Operations.
This role is a great opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to deliver production results as part of a close knit team in a professional operating environment. Dampier Salt Port Hedland is a lean operation where the contribution of every individual is recognised.
Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will be:
- Responsible for the operation of mobile equipment and the coordination of mobile equipment resources to deliver on agreed plans.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of team skills and associated training records
- Development and maintenance of effective relationships with stakeholders in Maintenance, Process, and Management
- Lead a team through change by positively influencing perceptions and expectations
- Able to work flexibly in even time rosters involving night shifts and weekends
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- You will be proactive with a strong commitment in driving a safe working culture
- You will have strong leadership skills and be confident in effectively leading, mentoring and coaching team members
- Demonstrated capacity to operate and coordinate the activities of a diverse range of mobile equipment
- You will hold a current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (or equivalent) with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel and SAP (or similar enterprise database)
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- End to end management experience of ship loading activities including documentation

Gypsum is additionally mined and processed at our Lake MacLeod operations.
