Supervisor - Production

Macmahon is currently seeking experienced Production Supervisor to join the Tropicana Project team. These positions will either be on a 8:6, flying from Perth or Kalgoorlie to Project Site.

Working closely with our Production Superintendents, the Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that workers and work areas under their direct control comply with all statutory laws and company policies and procedures while meeting the required production quantities and quality. 

The following outcomes are deemed critical for achieving success in this role: 

• Constant decrease in the number of accidents/incidents/near misses; 
• Achievement of required production quantities to expected quality and cost standards;
• Development of a motivated and multi skilled workforce;
• Pro-active identification and promotion of possible efficiency improvements within the mine workings;
• Pro-active identification and solution of controllable operating problems, which may otherwise adversely affect mine safety or efficiencies; and 
• Maximisation of all resource availabilities and utilisations.

To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following: 

• Previous experience in a similar role within a high pressure surface mining environment; 
• Demonstrated commitment to high safety standards along with best practice approach and production orientation;  
• Have a can-do attitude
• Promote a positive work culture for the team 
• Completed Appointed Person (Section 44) course; 
• Certificate III in Metalliferous mining or equivalent; 
• Quarry Manager certificate will be highly regarded; 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; 
• High level of computer literacy; and 
• Current drivers licence.

Should you be successful in being offered a role in Macmahon's Surface Mining Division, you will be required to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test along with obtaining a National Police Clearance.
