About the Role

Mining Area C, part of Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO), is one of five mining hubs in the Pilbara region. It is located 120 kilometres north-west of Newman on the Traditional Lands of the Banjima People. It consists of eight open-cut mines, three ore handling plants and one train load-out facility. In operation since 2003, the mine is responsible for approximately 52 million tonnes of ore production per annum.

Mining Area C currently operates on a fly-in fly-out 2/1 roster.  Flights operate from Perth to Coondewanna Airport. Employees are accommodated at Packsaddle Camp. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.

Some teams within Mining Area C currently operate on two weeks on, one week off roster. Feedback from our workforce tells us a more family friendly roster would be welcomed by our employees, and we are currently exploring the opportunity to move our Fixed Plant and Processing Production teams to an even time roster of 8/6/7/7.

While no decision or proposal has been made at this point in time, an even time roster is being investigated as a future option.

As such, Mining Area C Fixed Plant and Processing teams are seeking talented Supervisors and Shift Coordinators to join our inclusive and high performing Production team to work in a collaborative environment.
