Based at BMA’s Peak Downs Mine Site in Central Queensland. The Production Execution team are on a continuous improvement journey, our successful candidates will be committed to learning and assisting with maintaining industry best practice.

About You

You will be able to demonstrate strong business insight and have an understanding of the key drivers of shareholder value.
As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplined Operators in Coal and Prestrip Mining Operations, such as load and haul of coal and waste, executing the mine plan, achieving safe and optimal outcomes for the Production Mining team. You will be actively involved in field leadership activities and engaging your team to reach their full potential. The role will be supervising a team performing coal and waste mining and other mining related activities.
Energetic and committed, you work well with challenges, bringing attention to detail and an ability to meet multiple deadlines. You relate well with people, communicate confidently and build collaborative working relationships. Your ability to engage and build trust with your reports and be a champion for change will help you deliver on your commitments and will position you well for future career opportunities.
Our successful candidate:
- Will have an understanding and exposure a Production Department of an Open Cut Mine Site environment
- Experience and skills operating Shovels, Excavators and Loaders would be advantageous
- Have proven leadership experience, leadership aspirations or possessed leadership capability and potential
- Have a desire to lead, coach and mentor a crew to deliver of the plan and build high performing teams
- Have an understanding of BHP systems and processes
- Able to identify improvement opportunities and work collaboratively with other departments
