About the role

We are seeking engaging, safety and productivity focused Supervisor Project Delivery (Civil, Mine Rehabilitation, Electrical, Structural Mechanical Piping [SMP]) to join our onsite project delivery team supporting each of our Yandicoogina and Hope Downs operations. Reporting to the Superintendent Project Delivery at the respective site, this role has strong safety leadership exposure and is a great opportunity to showcase your influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.

You will be responsible for executing divisional capital projects <$2m to enhance productivity, safety, asset reliability and meet anticipated project demand in alignment with Rio Tinto standards, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership skills, harnessed with your technical knowledge to positively lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of strategic turnkey solutions for Yandicoogina or Hope Downs.

About you

  • Proven safety leadership skills and the ability to positively engage with a wide range of internal and external of stakeholders 
  • Have experience in overseeing Contractor Management and the Iron Ore Contractor Management System (CMS)
  • Adaptable and passionate people leader with a proven track record of success with effectively leading, mentoring, and coaching team members, and contract partners
  • Proactively co-ordinate and manage contractor site mobilisation, performance, impacts on other site activities, and resolve queries, design and delay issues 
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and manage multiple programs of change and continuous improvement activities 
  • Have a good understanding in the use of SAP 
  • Tertiary or trade qualification within Electrical, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering, Civil, or Civil Engineering will be highly regarded but is not essential
  • Previous experience in the supervision of civil, mine rehabilitation, fixed plant, non-process infrastructure (NPI) projects will be highly regarded 
  • Hold a valid Australian C class manual driver’s license
