We are looking for a Supervisor Project Delivery with a passion for safety, quality and people to join our Greater Tom Price team, while partnering with and managing our contract partners. This role has strong safety leadership exposure and is a great opportunity to showcase your coaching, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.

Reporting to the Superintendent Project Delivery, the role will require you to:

  • Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures
  • Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices
  • Drafting scopes of work in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Site mobilisation, performance monitoring, co-ordinate works around other site activities, resolve design queries and delay issues.
  • Coordinating and supervising project activities, whilst ensuring the projects are completed safely according to RioTinto Standards, Policies and procedures, established schedules, budgets and quality standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate Project Cost recording and reporting with continuous improvement mindset to challenge current processes.
  • Monitoring and managing supplier payment on time metrics contributing to group targets and initiatives
  • Manage project cost closeouts and finalisation of all open commitments
  • Ensuring all work aligns with RTIO Minor Capital Delivery Framework (MCDF)

What you’ll bring  

  • A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (manual)
  • Proven safety leadership skills and the ability to positively engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Experience in project and contractor management, ideally within iron ore operations
  • Experience using SAP.
  • Knowledge and understanding of RTIO work management fundamentals
  • Tertiary education or trade qualification, Engineering, Civil, or Mining Engineering is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity in Project Management, Iron Ore Contractor Management (CM One), highly regarded.

Tom Price is located in the central Pilbara, west of Karijini National Park and is our original Pilbara mine, currently employing residential and fly in fly out employees. It is known as one of the most attractive towns in the Pilbara with a high school, two primary schools a hospital and a high standard of recreational facilities
