About the role 

We are looking for a Supervisor Project Delivery with a passion for safety, quality and people to join our Project Delivery Team at our Brockman 4 Operations, while partnering with and managing our contract partners to deliver projects as scheduled and cost effectively. This role has strong safety leadership exposure and is a great opportunity to showcase your coaching, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.

This opportunity is a 8/6 day shift roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.  

Reporting to the Superintendent Project Delivery GBO you will: 

  • Provide technical and hands on support, direction and management to allocated projects with a strong focus on site safety and contractor management. 

  • Effectively support contract partners onsite. 

  • Manage projects to enhance productivity, safety, and quality of deliverables in line with standards and specifications. 

  • Site mobilization, performance monitoring, co-ordinate works around other site activities, resolve queries and delay issues. 

  • Drive continuous improvement for maintainability, useability and reliability. 

  • Collaborate with Project Engineers and Project Control team members effectively to drive better outcomes. 

  • Maintain a safe working environment for all. 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive a culture of collaboration, participation and improvement. 

  • Actively promote compliance with standardized processes, systems and tools. 

What you’ll bring 

  • Trade Qualification or Tertiary Education is highly regarded 

  • Multi-disciplinary project and/or construction experience is highly regarded 

  • Proven safety leadership skills and the ability to positively engage with a wide range of internal and external of stakeholders 

  • Have experience in Construction Management, Project Management, Contractor Management and Iron Ore Contractor Management (CM One). 

  • Proficient in reviewing engineering drawings, models and design to inform QA/QC review and sign offs. 

  • Experience with the implementation of quality and safety management systems. 

  • Adaptable and passionate people leader with a proven track record of success with effectively leading, mentoring, and coaching team members, and contract partners. 

  • Proactively co-ordinate and manage projects. 

  • Site mobilisation of personnel, plant and equipment, performance management, impacts on other site activities, and resolve queries, design and delay issues. 

  • Ability to work with diverse teams and manage multiple programs of change and continuous improvement activities. 

  • Hold a valid Australian C class driver’s license.

Where you will be working 

Located 60km north-west of Tom Price, Brockman is wholly owned and operated by Rio Tinto. Opened in 2010, this open pit operation offers a family friendly fly in fly out roster with state-of-the-art camp facilities. 

The Greater Brockman Operations consist of Brockman 2, Brockman 4, Nammuldi and Silvergrass. Driving the latest technological advancements, the open-pit mines offer an avenue for opportunity and career progression.
