About the role
We are seeking an engaging, safety focused Supervisor Projects to join our Maintenance Projects team based in Dampier.
This is a great opportunity to draw on your expertise in managing projects, leading, and mentoring contractor’s activities. You will have a diverse portfolio looking after not only contactor management but also capital projects execution. A great opportunity to use your leadership and technical skills to ensure effective execution of work. You will need to be a self-starter who thrives on achieving goals and can work calmly and independently under pressure.
Working on an 8 on 6 off roster, day shift only, and reporting to the Superintendent Projects, you will:
- Initiate, develop and implement Projects
- Manage the engagement and performance of external contractor and suppliers and monitor the quality and standard of services delivered by external contractors
- Perform contractor reviews with vendor partners
- Have overall responsibility of project personnel
- Drive change that adds value and create efficiencies to process/system for contractor management
What you will need for this role
- Be proactive with a commitment in driving a safe and inclusive team culture
- Have leadership experience and be confident in leading, developing, and coaching team
- Contractor management supervision and project management experience
- Ability to work with diverse teams and manage multiple programs of change/continuous improvement activities
- Hold a current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License

This role is for applicants residing in or willing to permanently relocate to Western Australia. Rio Tinto offers Fly in and fly out options from Perth, our regional FIFO hubs and the opportunity to live in our residential towns where applicable.
