About the role

We are looking for a Supervisor Project Civil/Structural to support coordination and supervision of construction activities and ensuring projects are completed safely according to established schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Reporting to the Superintendent Projects, your daily remit will include but not be limited to:

  • Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations
  • Accountable for the daily CMS field leadership of all projects work to ensure safety of the job is met as per role expectations
  • Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties
  • Review and interpret permits, plans and technical drawings
  • Manage contractor performance and report to direct Line managers
  • Liaising with line managers and engineers on technical issues
  • Ensuring that all construction activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Maintain records and documentation related to the project.

About youTo be successfully in this role you will have: 

  • A proven track record of success and supervision experience in a construction or non-process infrastructure (or similar) environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to personally influence workplace culture
  • An ability to lead, mentor and coach teams
  • Previous experience using SAP
  • Knowledge and understanding of work management fundamentals.
  • Manual Australian 'C' Class Driver's license

Where you will be working

Located 110km north-west of Newman, Gudai-Darri will produce up to 43 million tonnes of iron ore a year in its first phase, contributing to our flagship product, the Pilbara Blend™. It will also become a production hub for our iron ore business, incorporating world class infrastructure and a 166-kilometre rail line connecting the mine to our existing network.
