We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quality Measurement Supervisor to join the Quality Measurement team at Rio Tinto Cape Lambert.

The role is a great opportunity to combine your technical knowledge of sampling processes, analytical laboratory operations and minerals processing test work with your leadership capabilities. Working on a 5/5/4 lifestyle roster and reporting to the Quality Measurement Superintendent you will:

  • Provide leadership and support to an experienced laboratory team
  • Identifying, implementing and sustaining improvements to laboratory practice and processes and ensuring consistency across all teams in the lab
  • Oversee the reporting of accurate analysis results
  • Ensure that plant sampling and laboratory analytical test methods are undertaken safely and to a high standard
  • Monitor compliance to quality standards and manage the execution of routine quality checks
  • Close collaboration with supply chain stakeholders to ensure quality processes are provided in a timely manner including marketing and scheduling

  • Leadership experience with confidence in developing and coaching teams

  • Hold a current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License

Where you’ll be working Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
