We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor - Security & Access to join our Health and Safety Team based at Cadia during an exciting period of transformation.

Cadia Operations is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney. Employees reside in varied accommodation options in and around the district of Orange with the surrounding area’s occupied by winery’s, stone fruit orchards, farming and national parks.

Who we’re looking for
Reporting to the Superintendent, Health & Safety, you will be accountable for leading on-site security and access teams; to ensure delivery of professional, timely, appropriate and effective access control and high security services. You will provide team leadership that delivers a safe and secure environment for contractors and employees by enforcing both the site rules and site regulations.
Your duties will include;
- Provide Leadership, Mentoring and Coaching of Access Control and Security Personnel teams
- Management of the external Security Contractor
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the access to site process
- Develop, implement and maintain a consistent training management plan for Access Control and Security Personnel.
- Develop, implement and maintain strategies to strengthen security onsite IAW Newcrest polices and the Gold Security Standard.
- Manage the resourcing of Access Control and Security (Manning, Rostering, Financials).
- Undertake Projects conducive to the improvement of operations with Access Control and Security.
- Develop, Implement and Maintain Information Systems required to support the operation of Access Control and Security.
- Establish and maintain a strong business rapport with other departments.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have a passion and desire to uphold high safety standards, while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience. We are seeking an inclusive leader of teams, who will demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous similar Security and Access experience, ideally gained in a mining, or heavy industrial site environment
- Supervisory experience, or demonstrated team leadership skills
- Strong focus on customer and customer service delivery
- Certificate 2 in Security Operations and / or Security Licence (highly advantageous, but not essential)
- Previous experience using Gallagher and / or CyberAudit security & access control systems (highly advantageous)
