The Underground team are seeking a Shift Supervisor for Daisy Milano on a 7 day, 7 off, 7 nights, 7 off roster FIFO from Perth to Project site.  
 

*** Kalgoorlie / Kambalda residents preferred (but not essential for this role) *** Daisy Milano is approximately 50km from Kalgoorlie by bus.
 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Ensure the operators of plant and equipment are trained, deemed competent and authorised on site prior to commencement of work
  • Ensure that all persons undertaking specified tasks have the required level of skills and knowledge to conduct the task safely and efficiently
  • Lead a team of maintenance personnel to achieve heavy equipment rebuild requirements as planned for the workshop and repairs
  • Ensure compliance to work scopes, costs and allowances
  • Drive continuous improvement, to ensure optimum efficiencies on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure accurate recording of all maintenance activities
  • Supervise direct reports to ensure that all jobs are completed to the required standard in acceptable timeframes
  • Development and mentoring of maintenance personnel and apprentices


Essential requirements:

  • Operational and practical experience in underground mining
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
  • Have a high level of communication skills
  • Results orientated team player who aspires to continuous improvement
  • Statutory Qualifications for Supervision (WA Shift Supervisor Competency)
  • Extensive underground experience (5-10+ years in operational roles)
  • Proven track record in operational performance management
  • Effective operational planning and ability to ensure that the mining program meets or exceeds the required forecasts/budgets
  • Ability to manage, lead and promote a safe, productive and cost-effective workforce
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Strong ethics and values driven
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Current National Police Clearance or ability to get one
