About the role
We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for Dampier Ports to supervise a skilled mechanical maintenance team to deliver shut down planned preventative maintenance.
Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading. You will be working at Dampier Ports – Parker Point and East Intercourse Island only.

Working an even time roster and reporting to the Superintendent Mechanical, you will be:
Leading a team to execute work as planned on time to deliver availability and reliability to Port assets.
Communicating and liaising with the team of mechanical maintainers, superintendent, planners, electrical teams and contractors.
Providing support regarding HSEQ workplace policies procedures and critical risk monitoring.
Leading and developing tradespeople and apprentices to productively deliver a high quality of work.
Contributing to the HSE system and increase awareness to enable an injury free and environmentally responsible workplace
Performance management of the team including training and, career development
Identifying and participating in continuous improvement projects which including cost saving, reliability and production efficiency projects
What you’ll bring
Experience in leadership roles managing dynamic teams
A current WA ‘Class’ Drivers licence
A current or eligibility to obtain a MSIC
Proactive approach with a strong commitment in driving a safe working culture
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Experience in Asset Management processes and practices (SAP, work management) Computer literacy and proficiency in the suite of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Experience working with conveyors, reclaimers, car dumpers and stackers
Fixed plant maintenance
