About the Role
Reporting to the Shutdown Modular & Workshop Maintenance Lead, the Supervisor Shutdown Modular is the interface for all stakeholders to support the Modular outage execution activities.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment
- Develop the Modular outage plan for the smooth execution of Shutdowns in conjunction with the Planning department and other stakeholders.
- Coordination of Modular outage activity across the Fixed Plants during planning, scheduling and execution to provide a safe and efficient shutdown service across operations.
- Liaise with Operations and Maintenance teams to validate and challenge scope, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activities
- Liaising with MCoE planners and site personnel with the improvement of Modular outage plans (Task list and Work Instruction updates and validation of planned work orders and work scopes)
- Communication and coordination between the key stakeholders across supply chain to ensure required maintenance work is carried out with the least disruption to the supply chain without compromising the plant’s functionality
This is a residential opportunity living in Newman, you will be based at our Whaleback mine site on lifestyle days only roster.
In this residential role you will be based in Newman, Western Australia. You will be working at the closely located 'Mount Whaleback' mine site, which at more than five kilometres long and nearly 1.5 kilometres wide is the biggest single-pit open-cut iron ore mine in the world. The 7,000 strong population of Newman enjoys well-established town facilities including a newly revitalised town centre and sporting facilities. As a gateway to the Karijini National Park, you will be in close proximity to spectacular gorges, water courses and stunningly unique landscapes. As this is a residential position you will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.
About You
We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills who have the ability to build relationships across a diverse team. In addition to be successful in the role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Mechanical trade qualification, Engineering degree or extensive maintenance experience
- Understanding of processing plant
- Experience in supervising and leading a team
- Knowledge of shutdown and Work Management process
- Strong task planning skills, including 1SAP and coordination of 3rd party inputs
- Strong practical hands on skills in mechanical or electrical maintenance associated with Fixed Plant Maintenance
- Energetic and positive attitude with ability to influence multiple stakeholders
- Experience in the execution, project management and planning fields highly advantageous
- Minimum of C class manual drivers licence
