Supervisor - Site Communications Coastal

Reporting to the Superintendent Site Communications and Mining Systems in Dampier, Western Australia and working with the Site Communications Coastal team in a challenging and exciting environment, you will:
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a large scale mining/ rail operational environment
- Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes
- Provide safety and technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to a team of site communications technicians carrying out specific inspections and maintenance activities
- Complete daily inspections of all work areas and regular on the job interactions with the team to develop a safe and efficient work culture
- Ensuring that maintenance is of a high quality and re-work is not required
- Planning daily work, utilising the team’s strengths
- Use SAP to raise and approve notifications, maintain team capacities and ensure maintenance activity information is captured
- Review and approve weekly scheduled maintenance plans
- Supporting all aspects of HSEQ compliance, auditing, education and management of the HSEQ System increasing awareness to enable an injury free and environmentally responsible workplace
- Working with the Reliability Engineering team to drive continuous improvement projects which include cost saving and production efficiency projects
- Provide front line safety management of site contractors
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Trade qualification in Radio Communications or Electronic Communications
- Mobile radio network experience (Wi-Fi)
- A good understanding of IP based protocol
- Understanding of RTIO safety systems and demonstrated strong health & safety performance.
- Western Australian C class driver’s license
- Very customer focused with a collaborative approach
