About the role
We are looking for an engaging, experienced, safety focused Supervisor Contractor Management Supervisor (CMS) to join our Site Services team based in Dampier. This role is a great opportunity to engage, influence change and support sustainable business partnerships with our local businesses who work across our Port and Rail operations non-processing infrastructure (NPI) assets.
We are committed to supporting local people and businesses so the candidate we are seeking must currently reside in Karratha.
Reporting to the Superintendent Site Services you will be responsible for
- Supervising teams who execute planned and breakdown maintenance of our Non-Processing (NPI) infrastructure such as buildings including offices, plumbing including potable water assets, air conditioning units, minor road maintenance, carpentry, electrical cleaning and gardening contracts
- Safety leadership including prestart, field verifications and interactions
- Work management activities
About you
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Commitment to support our local vendors
- Actively demonstrate courage, curiosity and care for yourself and your team
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience navigating internal and external relationships
- Drive to support the development of local businesses.
- Frontline safety leadership experience
- Understanding and experience working in the non-process infrastructure field
- Understanding and experience in the SAP Work Management process
- A current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s Licence

This role is for applicants local to the Karratha region. Rio Tinto offers Fly in and fly out options from Perth, our regional FIFO hubs and the opportunity to live in our residential towns where applicable.
