Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Cloudbreak – Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

 

Roster: 14D/14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra.

 

Cloudbreak is seeking an experienced Supervisor Structural Integrity to lead a team responsible for structural inspection, repair and remediation activities across site.

 

This role will provide strong frontline leadership to a team of Fabricators and Trade Assistants, ensuring structural integrity works are safely planned and executed to a high standard. Working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Planning and Operations, you will coordinate priorities and support the ongoing reliability and integrity of Cloudbreak’s fixed plant infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead, supervise and develop the Structural Integrity team, including Fabricators and Trade Assistant.
  • Coordinate structural repairs, remediation and maintenance activities across fixed plant assets.
  • Provide strong field leadership with a focus on safe work practices, quality and team engagement.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Planning, Maintenance and Operations to prioritise structural integrity works.
  • Ensure work is effectively planned, resourced and executed in line with schedules and operational requirements.
  • Monitor structural defects and ensure identified risks and critical repairs are appropriately managed and escalated.
  • Ensure compliance with Fortescue procedures, engineering standards and statutory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in structural maintenance practices, work quality and team performance.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Australian recognised trade Boilermaker qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience within mining, fixed plant or heavy industrial maintenance.
  • Strong experience in structural integrity, structural repairs, fabrication and remediation activities.
  • Previous iron ore mining experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of fixed plant structures, including conveyors, transfer stations, chutes, platforms and associated infrastructure.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Current or ability to obtain relevant Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor appointment.
