Located in the Great Sandy Desert in East Pilbara, Western Australia, Telfer is a fly in out fly out operation from Perth which recognises the importance of work-life balance.  We provide comfortable, well-furnished rooms with Foxtel, along with site offers of quality food with healthy options, medical care, sports, and recreation activities.  Families are welcomed several times a year to open days to support our community feel at Telfer. 

Who we are looking for

Reporting into the Superintendent - Supply, the Supervisor - Supply is responsible for the safe, reliable, efficient, and effective coordination with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimise the supply chain and ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organisational goals and performance KPI’s.

You will assist in leading the supply chain function, which includes the site warehouses, inventory management, expediting and demand management.  Fundamental to the success of this role will be your ability to sustain a positive and proactive safety culture. You will ensure the Telfer Warehouse and Supply operations are performed safely, in accordance with Telfer and Newcrest policies, procedures and systems, and address hazards and risks present.

A firm focus will be on teamwork and maintaining the current high performance and self-sufficiency of the team. We are looking for a strong communicator and influencer and someone who is familiar with working in a highly collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on innovation and best practice.

To succeed in this role, you will be a forward-looking leader with excellent work-ethics and a passion for continuous improvement. Your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate at all levels in the organisation will work towards achievement of desired outcomes and engagement of your team and key stakeholders

In addition, you will ideally possess:

  • Proficient using SAP;
  • 2-5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining and minerals, processing, oil & gas or heavy industries;
  • Certificate III or IV in Transport & Logistics (Warehousing & Storage)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain and Logistics (Desirable)
  • Intermediate or advanced usage of essential Microsoft tools;
  • Ability to communicate effectively (Verbal and Written) at all levels;
  • Demonstrate an understanding and have experience around supply chains, procurement, expediting and inventory control;
  • Ability to run meetings with key stakeholders;
  • Manual driver’s licence (Essential)

This is a full time FIFO role from Perth on a 8days on 6days off roster.
