About the Role

In this role you will: 

  • Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter and Code of Conduct. 
  • Have an overriding commitment to health, safety, risk management, environment responsibility and sustainable development. 
  • Analyse and implement improvements to security related systems, processes, and procedures within our villages. 
  • Provide specialist/functional expertise to leadership on security related management systems, processes, practices and controls.
  • Design and implement security controls to mitigate security related risks within our villages. 
  • Coordinate and manage security incidents that occur in our villages to promote effective response. 
  • Investigate and report village security events. 
  • Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching our contracted security team. 

About You

  • Hold an Australian Drivers Licence 
  • Hold a current QLD Class 1 Security Provider Licence - Unarmed monitoring and crowd controller (highly desirable)
  • Have a nationally recognised security qualification - Certificate II or above (highly desirable) 
  • 3 years of relevant security experience (or equivalent in areas such as military/policing) (highly desirable) 
  • Ability to build meaningful partnerships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a small team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environment, and community.
  • Competent in the usage of the Microsoft 365 programs (teams, SharePoint, excel, work, PowerPoint, Outlook).
