About Oak Dam
The Oak Dam copper discovery is an exciting undeveloped iron oxide copper-gold-uranium mineralised system located on the traditional lands of the Kokatha People, 500km north of Adelaide and 65km south-east of Olympic Dam, South Australia.
Since discovery in 2018, we have been progressing resource definition drilling to advance geological knowledge and commenced order of magnitude studies to identify viable development pathways with the potential to materially contribute towards BHP’s copper growth strategy.
About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Villages & Logistics, you will provide exceptional customer service and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver safe, compliant and efficient facilities management, operations and hospitality services to meet the requirements of the Oak Dam Project Teams.
This role will be based in Oak Dam on a back-to-back 8 days on / 6 days off roster. We can accommodate FIFO ex-Adelaide or DIDO from Roxby Downs and surrounds.
In this role, you will:
- Complete field leadership ensuring actions are closed out in a timely matter, facilitate 5-Why investigations and risk assessments, and conduct event reporting.
- Monitor the delivery of the accommodation and hospitality services by the village business partner with a focus on the delivery of accommodation administration, cleaning and meals.
- Manage and monitor cost control including raising POs, invoicing approvals and end of month accruals.
- Contract management including monitoring business partner performance and resolving operations issues.
- Continuous improvement focus on improving the village experience through an audit and planned task confirmations process.
- Manage routine operational meetings with contract business partners and key stakeholders to ensure customer focused service delivery.
- Monitor service key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify non-conformances to contractual obligations.
- Establish strong working relationships with the logistics, transport, maintenance, contracts, projects and operations teams.
- Manage customer satisfaction by monitoring feedback, providing resolutions, reporting results and coordinate customer experience improvement opportunities.
- Provide support and guidance to business partners to ensure HSE systems and performance are aligned with Olympic Dam and are delivering effective HSE performance.
About You
- Experience in the management of a village located in a remote location
- Knowledge and relevant experience in contractor management, supervisory, project management
- Knowledge and relevant experience working with travel booking systems (SAMS), dashboards and reporting, auditing and data analysis
- Proven ability to influence and mentor others in HSEC principles and behaviours
- Competent in MS office systems and SAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface across all levels and disciplines effectively
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Current valid manual drivers license is required
