About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Supervisor Warehouse and Transport to lead safe, disciplined, and efficient warehouse operations at Hay Point. Leading a team of warehouse professionals, you will be accountable for delivering operational excellence through strong safety leadership, effective people management, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

As a visible frontline leader, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, drive compliance with safety and operational standards, develop team capability, and foster a high-performing culture that supports reliable and efficient service delivery across the business. You will play a critical role in achieving operational objectives while championing BHP's values of safety, inclusion, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise warehouse operations to ensure safe, disciplined, and efficient execution of daily activities
  • Act as a visible safety leader, identifying and escalating hazards, incidents, and injuries in line with site requirements
  • Drive BOS routines, KPIs, field leadership activities, workplace inspections, and PTC effectiveness
  • Coach, develop, and influence team members through strong safety leadership and performance-focused behaviours
  • Ensure operational continuity through effective planning, coordination, and management of warehouse resources
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance with statutory and site requirements
  • Support workforce capability development, performance management, and succession planning within the team

About You

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within warehouse operations, preferably in mining, heavy industry, logistics, or supply chain environments
  • Current site and legislative supervisor competencies, qualifications, and refresher training, or the ability to obtain
  • Current and valid Australian Driver Licence
  • Current High Risk Work Licence (LF) Forklift Licence
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • SAP experience is advantageous
  • Experience with inventory management, warehousing, and supply chain processes
  • Exposure to SAP Materials Management (MM) or warehouse management systems will be highly regarded
  • A strong commitment to safety leadership, with the ability to influence and engage teams to achieve positive safety and operational outcomes
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing frontline teams in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Sound decision-making, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and operational demands
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple functions
  • Ability to work across day shift rosters and provide operational support outside standard hours when required
  • Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture
