About the Role
The Supervisor Water Maintenance Central and Northern Pilbara will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of Drinking (Potable) Water Treatment, Waste Water Treatment and Surplus Water infrastructure in accordance with BHP policies and procedures.
Reporting to the Superintendent Water Central and Northern Pilbara, Non Process Infrastructure (NPI) your duties will include:
- Demonstrate and instil an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Authorise, prioritise, plan and monitor workflow and work orders via 1SAP.
- Comply with all WAIO HSEC guidelines, policies, procedures and practices.
- As a Section 5.10 MSIR Appointed Person, you are required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations in accordance with your appointment.
- Set and clearly communicate targets and expectations aligned with NPI goals and BHP values.
- Lead, coach and mentor employees to deliver on plan and build a high performing team.
- Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation.
- Positively influence and shape the culture to ensure a safe, productive, quality, sustainable and disciplined approach to work.
- Work in accordance with the 1SAP work management processes, to ensure statutory reporting and monitoring is completed as per the pre-defined plan.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Electrical Trade / relevant Tertiary Electrical qualification within an equivalent industry and/or organisational experience
- Electrical Nominee or Electrical Contractor registration with DMIRS - preferred
- A proven track record of safety management
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work closely in a team environment
- Previous supervisory experience of junior and senior mechanical trade staff – preferred
- Valid Australian C class driver’s licence
- Water Industry experience highly advantageous
Location
You will be based at the Non Process Infrastructure (NPI) office located at our Mining Area C Operations on a 7/7 fly-in fly-out roster from Perth. In the NPI team, you will be working alongside a committed and outcomes-focused team that dedicatedly approaches the challenges they face. The team is passionate about achieving the intention of our company charter in every job and challenges are seen as opportunities for improvement.
The excellent facilities at the FIFO village include a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, netted cricket pitch and recreation room. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, internet, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
