About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Supervisor Water Utilities Northern Region is a collaborative leadership roles that delivers against the plan for Safety, Volume, Cost and Productivity.
This vital role is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance execution teams work activities on Pipelines, Treatment Plants or a specialized trade or work discipline in compliance with the weekly work schedule, operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes.
This is a role with flexible travel options or residential based at our Moranbah Maintenance depot, Central Queensland and will be offered on a 8 / 6 days only roster.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Guide a team in the delivery of safe work practices complying with site health and safety management systems, monitor performance against specified targets and standards;
- Executing maintenance activities to plan through the management of the work teams;
- Standardisation of work liaising with other Water Supervisors to ensure compliance;
- Budget management and reporting;
- Delivering optimal results from the resources allocated, leveraging off any improvement tools or functions available;
- Identify process and system improvements initiatives through data analysis of work management reports; and
- Build cross-functional relationships with the Operational sub-functions to support the delivery of maintenance.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following experience and skills:
- Demonstrated proven Maintenance Leadership experience
- Trade Qualification in a relevant Maintenance Field - Boilermaker, Fitter, Plumber, Electrician
- Hold a Supervisor Appointment | BMANPI00008050Z (S1, S2, S3, G2)
- Hold a Cert III in Water Operations - desirable
- Have experience and or qualifications within the water and sewerage treatment industry - desirable
- Have previous budget management exposure
- Experience maintained management systems experience with a preference to SAP
- Have an exceptional level of risk and safety management
- Experience delivering field safety focus to your team on a daily basis through pre starts and one on one interactions
- Be a self-motivated professional, able to collaborate with & influence others to achieve reliability goals & targets
- Hold relevant reliability and asset management experience within mining operations with an emphasis on Water Operations and Maintenance
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Key to your success in this role will also be your Influencing and negotiating skills which will enable you to effectively engage with Maintenance, Operations and Engineering to facilitate the review of the effectiveness of maintenance work strategies and minimise operational risk.
