About the role
We are looking for a Supervisor Workshop Inland to lead a team of Maintainers / Fitters, Technicians, Boilermakers or Electricians in executing Rail Network Maintenance (RNM) activities to effectively execute their accountabilities and enable them to lead and operate in a safe and efficient manner.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to work within a supportive team environment where you can utilise your skills and progress your career significantly. Working an 8/6 Dayshift roster and reporting to the Superintendent of Track Machine Maintenance, you will be:
- Supervising, managing, coordinating and monitoring the execution of scheduled work plans and unplanned emergency and breakdown work, determining sequence and assignments
- Monitor the performance of shift productivity and take appropriate action to deliver the production plan.
- Providing good customer service and maintaining a continuous improvement focus by working with customers and team members to resolve work problems
- Manage incidents that occur on shift and follow through with actions to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence.
- Recommends and/or initiates actions involving establishing job expectations, providing direction or work priorities and methods of performing tasks.
- Appropriately manage contractors through the contractor management system for directly engaged contractors.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- A manual C Class Driver's Licence
- A relevant trade background
- 5 years’ experience in leading/supervising teams in the mining industry
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a Mobile Equipment/Rail workshop environment
- Good interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- An uncompromising positive safety attitude
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, basic to intermediate computer literacy with excel and word

Where you will be working
Our privately owned and operated rail network is an essential part of our integrated production process and services our 15 mines across the Pilbara via 1,700km of track. With depots located at Tom Price, Cape Lambert and Dampier (7 Mile), each train is operated by a single driver and comprises up to three locomotives and 240 ore cars stretching to approximately 2.7 kilometres in length with over 40 trains operating per day. We are also applying and adapting technology to improve safety and productivity across our rail network.
