About the Role
This opportunity is located at our Caval Ridge Open Cut Mine, located in Central Queensland, Australia. Caval Ridge Mine currently has several opportunities for Mining Production Supervisors within our Coal Mining operation. Reporting to the Superintendent of Coal Mining on a 7:7 rotating roster, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of a production crew, including ensuring the safe execution of the mine plan in accordance with operating standards, procedures and defined processes to deliver optimal production outcomes.
In this role your key responsibilities will include:

Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team. Lead by example, support a diverse and inclusive team with a collaborative culture;

Manage a team of experienced and new to industry operators, encourage the development of the teams skills to support the delivery of superior production outcomes;

Apply a continuous improvement approach to identify and improve upon our operating philosophy and processes, ensure quality and efficiency in our operations; and
-
Lead by example, promote and take the lead supporting and encouraging a diverse team of operators to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment ensuring a safety first approach.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead positive change and support the continued development of a high performing team. The successful candidate will have an absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards, mine working procedures and ensure a safe and environmentally healthy workplace.
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to foster positive working relationships and be adaptable to various communication styles;

Have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, lead and facilitate cooperation with production personnel;
-
Proven ability to plan, organise and coordinate a variety of tasks within a dynamic environment;
-
Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP and similar systems and databased;
-
Experience working in Leadership roles, with strong people management skills; and
-
Experience working in mining production roles.
